Senior High Ministry at Immanuel Lutheran Church seeks to create an environment where youth can grow in faith, love and mission.
Our studies typically take place on Sundays from 7-9pm at Pastor Karg's house. New this fall is a study entitled,
Guy Talk, Girl Talk. It is a study with two paths specifically tailored to guys and gals to bring biblical insight into real issues that youth face every day.
Youth Ministry Is: RECEIVING the gifts of God each week at worship
GROWING in faith through the study of God's Word
BUILDING friendships through activities all year long
SHARING the love of Christ wherever we can through word and deed
In any given week, you will find the Senior High Youth of Immanuel involved in:
- Worship, including participation as usher or in music ministry
- Bible study on Sunday mornings in the youth room and Sunday evenings in the Pastor's home (always concluding with tasty morsels)
- Activities scheduled mostly for fun (overnights, games in the gym, demolition ball, movies, etc.)
- Activities scheduled to serve others (food bank, nursing home, work with the handicapped, VBS, etc.)
It's not just ministry to youth... it's ministry WITH youth, BY youth.
