Perhaps it doesn’t take too much imagination to guess what these members are all about! The purpose for the Community Care Team is to lead Immanuel into a greater presence in the local community through a ministry of care and compassion. Some of the projects undertaken in past years include the collection of school supplies for students at a public school; Thanksgiving pies to the employees of Olivette; participating in Habitat for Humanity; and support for Nurses for Newborns. We have recently begun preparing and serving meals at the Sts. Peter and Paul Shelter in Soulard on the 1^st Mondays of the month.

Through these and other such efforts, we are “letting our light shine” and hoping many will come to see the face of Jesus. If you have a heart for mercy ministry and would like to be a part of such service, please contact Suzanne Hough (432-0195).
